MedVance Calcium Alginate Dressing

MedVancea Alginate dressing is made of calcium alginate rich in fast gelling mannuronic acid. The non-woven flat pad format manages exuding wounds and the rope serves as packing for cavities and indurations. On contact with wound exudate the dressing converts to a soft, hydrophilic gel which conforms to the contours of the wound and provides a moist wound healing environment. Non-woven reinforcing technology enhances wet and dry strength, facilitating application and removal while minimizing the likelihood of leaving residue behind.

Directions for Use

• Follow wound bed preparation protocol including wound cleansing and debridement
• Select a suitable dressing size that fits into the wound bed with no overlap
• Apply the pad or rope to the wound bed with no overlap. If you need to fold the pad or rope to fit into the wound bed. Cover with a secondary dressing or bandage for fixation
• To change the dressing, remove secondary dressing or bandage. Dispose as medical waste.
• Follow wound bed preparation protocol including cleansing with appropriate solution before applying subsequent dressings.

• If your return is not due to any manufacturing defect then the original shipping cost will be deducted from the total refund.
• Hygiene, bath and toilet items cannot be returned once opened or used.
