Melgisorb Ag Calcium Alginate Dressing is an sterile antimicrobial alginate dressing that is composed of carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and ionic silver for moderately to heavily exuding wounds. Its unique design enables for excellent absorbancy, high wet tensile strength, and long-term antibacterial activity. The fibers combine to form a soft gel that keeps the wound wet and aids healing. The high-strength fibers also enable for single-piece removal. It is capable of handling large amounts of exudate. Melgisorb Ag contains alginate, which may help with the control of mild bleeding in superficial wounds. It can be used to treat critically colonized wounds under the guidance of a healthcare expert. This product can also be used with compression bandages.

- Cavity wounds and superficial and partial thickness burns.
