Mepitac Soft Silicone Tape

Mepitac Soft Silicone Tape is a conformable adhesive that is simple to use and remove. Its Safetac technology is specifically intended to reduce pain and trauma during application and removal. The tape is suitable for individuals who require repetitive use, as it gently removes skin and body hair while ensuring secure fixation and leaving minimal residue. It is appropriate for neonates, dialysis patients, and others who need frequent reapplication of fixation tape in the same area.

Features:

Dressing consists of:

• Safetac contact layer.
• Conformable knitted fabric.
• Breathable and waterproof polyurethane film.

Material content: Polyurethane film, acrylic adhesive, polyester/polyamide tricot, silicone adhesive, polyethylene film.

Directions to use:

1. Ensure the skin is clean, dry, and free from ointments.
2. Cut the desired length of tape using scissors.
3. Remove the protective release film and apply the tape without stretching.
4. If inspection or repositioning is needed, the tape can be lifted and reapplied.

Indications:

• Intended for fixation of medical devices such as drains, tubes, probes, electrodes, IV cannulae and dressings gently to the skin.
• It�s suitable for patients with fragile or sensitive skin, or when the fixation tape has to be applied and removed frequently, e.g. neonates and dialysis patients.

Precautions:

• Adhesion may decrease in humid conditions such as incubators or in patients with fever or excessive perspiration.
• Do not reuse. Reuse may reduce product performance and increase the risk of cross-contamination.
• Do not use on patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the product.

Warning: It is not intended for fixation of life-saving and life-sustaining devices.
