Molnlycke Mesalt Impregnated Dressing is intended for wounds with moderate to heavy drainage including wounds with yellow slough or fibrin and infected wounds. It should not be used for wounds with little or no drainage. It stimulates the debridement of heavily discharging wounds in the inflammatory phase by absorbing exudate, bacteria, and necrotic material. This effectively facilitates the wound healing process.
