NeoMed NeoConnect enteral extension set is indicated for use in neonatal and pediatric patients as an extension set for nasogastric / orogastric enteral feeding tubes.
Features
The Enteral Extension Set is provided in a variety of configurations:
- Proximal plug to maintain closed system between feeds
- USP Class VI PVC tubing is not made with DEHP or BPA
- Bifurcated extension sets provide an additional proximal ENFit connector.
- Bifurcated extension sets allow for medication or additional nutritional delivery without disrupting the feeding line.
- Unique tethered plug closure on the female inlet connector provides better protection from ambient air compared to open ended sets.

Intended Users: This device is intended to be used by healthcare professionals.
Patient Target Group: This device is intended for use in neonatal and pediatric patients.
Indications for Use: The NEOMED Enteral Extension Set is indicated for use in neonatal and pediatric patients as an extension set for nasogastric/oral gastric or gastric tube enteral feeding tubes, incorporating safety connectors which help mitigate the risk of accidental connection of an I.V. system to the enteral system or the enteral system to an I.V. system. The Enteral Only Extension Set is a sterile disposable for single patient use only.
Contraindications: The NEOMED Extension Set is intended to connect to products with ENFit compatible connectors. The Extension Set will only connect to ENFit enteral feeding tubes and ENFit enteral syringes. The Extension Set is not intended for individual use longer than 24 hours. Replace and maintain extension set in accordance to hospital protocol and policy/or reference AND (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) guidelines, as applicable.
Instructions: Follow facility protocol or current AND guidelines as applicable for use of this device.
- Wash hands thoroughly and use aseptic technique throughout process.
- Attach extension set inlet (male connector) to syringe. Attach extension set outlet (female connector) to feeding tube.
- For bifurcated extension sets, plug all connectors with tethered closure and/or attached clamp(s) until ready to use or when not in use.
- Replace and maintain extension set in accordance to hospital protocol and/or ADA guidelines, as applicable.
- After use, dispose of device per hospital protocols and/or local national regulations.
