NEOMED Cleaning Tool is designed to help remove debris from NEOMED Feeding Tubes or Extension Sets equipped with an ENFit male connector in neonatal and pediatric applications. Engineered to support proper connector maintenance, this tool assists healthcare professionals in maintaining clean thread interfaces in accordance with hospital protocols.

Residual Risks and Side Effects

While side effects vary depending on the type of procedure performed, mitigations have been implemented to minimize the following residual risks related to the use of the cleaning tool: allergic/foreign body/toxic reaction, infection.

Warnings/Cautions

• Do not reuse devices labeled for single use only. Reuse of a single-use device that has come in contact with blood, bone, tissue or other body fluids may lead to patient or user injury. Possible risks associated with the reuse of a single-use device include, but are not limited to, mechanical failure and transmission of infectious agents.
• Do not use if the primary pouch has been previously opened or damaged, as this may lead to device contamination or biological infection.
• Do not autoclave or re-use the NEOMED* Cleaning Tool, as this may increase the risk of biological infection. Ensure the plug stays engaged during use.

MR Information

MR Unsafe

The cleaning tool is MR unsafe. The cleaning tool is intended for transient use in a non-MR imaging environment. It is not reasonably foreseeable that the device would be used in the presence of MR imaging environments.

Device Lifetime

Devices are validated for use up to 24 hours.

Complaint and Adverse Event Reporting

If a serious incident has occurred in relation to the device, it should be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority in which the user and/or patient is established. A serious incident means any incident that directly or indirectly led, might have led or, in case of recurrence, could lead to any of the following: the death of a patient, user or other person, the temporary or permanent serious deterioration of a patient’s, user’s, fetus or other person’s state of health, or a serious public health threat.

Disposal

Contact the local authorities to determine the proper method of disposal of potentially biohazardous parts and accessories. Disposal of the device and accessories should be in accordance with local, state, and national laws and regulations.

• All returns must have an RGA number (Returned Goods Authorization), unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

• The products must be new, unused condition, not tampered with, in original packaging and returned at the customers expense in the original packaging.
• If your return is not due to any manufacturing defect then the original shipping cost will be deducted from the total refund.
• Hygiene, bath and toilet items cannot be returned once opened or used.
