Nutramigen is a hypoallergenic infant formula formulated with extensively hydrolyzed protein to support infants with food sensitivities and diagnosed food allergies, including cow’s milk allergy. This specialized formula is designed to promote digestive tolerance while helping meet the nutritional needs of infants requiring an alternative to standard milk-based formulas.

Indication:

Nutramigen is a 20-cal/fl oz, iron-fortified, lactose-free, hypoallergenic infant formula developed for infants with food allergies, including cow’s milk allergy. It contains extensively hydrolyzed casein protein, which is broken down into smaller peptides to help reduce allergen exposure and support immune tolerance.

• Appropriate for infants when sucrose is not preferred.

• The World Health Organization recommends DHA levels of 0.2%–0.36% of total fatty acids. The global average DHA level in breast milk is 0.32% ± 0.22% (mean ± standard deviation) based on 65 studies of 2,474 women.

Product Long-Term Usage

Nutramigen is designed to serve as a sole source of nutrition for infants up to 6 months of age and as a major source of nutrition through 12 months of age. The gradual introduction of solid foods after 4–6 months is typically an important developmental and nutritional step.

In cases of severe or multiple food allergies or intolerances, Nutramigen may be continued as part of a child’s dietary plan.

Extended use of Nutramigen as a sole source of nutrition should occur under medical supervision.

Ingredients: Ready To Feed (32 fl oz bottle): Water (87%), corn syrup solids (5%), vegetable oil (palm olein, soy, coconut, and high oleic sunflower oils) (4%), casein hydrolysate (milk) (2%), modified corn starch (2%) and less than 1%: Mortierella alpina oil, Schizochytrium sp. oil, carrageenan, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D3, vitamin E acetate, vitamin K1, thiamin hydrochloride, riboflavin, vitamin B6 hydrochloride, vitamin B12, niacinamide, folic acid, calcium pantothenate, biotin, ascorbic acid, choline chloride, inositol, calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, magnesium oxide, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, cupric sulfate, potassium iodide, sodium selenite, sodium citrate, potassium citrate, potassium chloride, citric acid, taurine, L-cystine, L-tyrosine, L-tryptophan, L-carnitine.

• A source of arachidonic acid (ARA).

ALLERGEN INFORMATION: Nutramigen contains milk. Nutramigen is hypoallergenic. Allergic reactions to extensively hydrolyzed casein formulas are uncommon.

DILUTION INFORMATION FOR NUTRAMIGEN LIQUIDS

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before preparing feeding bottles.
• Shake the bottle well, remove the protective seal around the cap, and remove the cap and foil seal. Replace cap.
• Pour into feeding bottle(s).

WARNING: Do not use a microwave oven to warm the formula. Serious burns may result.

Failure to follow these instructions could result in severe harm. Opened bottles and prepared formulas can spoil quickly. Either feed immediately or cover and store in the refrigerator at 35–40°F (2–4°C) for no longer than 48 hours. Do not use an opened bottle and/or prepared formula if they are unrefrigerated for more than a total of 2 hours. Do not freeze the prepared formula. After feeding begins, use the prepared formula within 1 hour or discard.

Storage: Store unopened bottles at room temperature. Avoid excessive heat. Do not freeze. Nutramigen does not look or taste like milk or soy formulas. The product may separate. Shake well before feeding.

USE BY DATE ON SIDE OF THE BOTTLE.

DO NOT USE IF THE PROTECTIVE SEAL AROUND THE CAP, OR IF THE FOIL SEAL UNDER THE CAP, IS DAMAGED OR MISSING.
