Preparation & Storage

Administration: Use only under the direction of a physician or dietitian. Periflex LQ must be consumed in conjunction with natural protein, fluid and other nutrients in quantities prescribed by a physician or dietitian to meet the phenylalanine and general nutrient requirements. The recommended intake of Periflex LQ will vary depending on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the individual. Intake should be adjusted to maintain normal growth and development. The daily intake of Periflex LQ should be divided into equal portions and distributed throughout the day.

Mixing Instructions: Periflex LQ is ready-to-drink. Just shake gently, open and enjoy. Best served chilled. Once opened, store any remaining formula in a refrigerator for no more than 24 hours. Shake formula immediately before use. Do not heat, bake or add to food or beverages above 130°F.

Precaution: Must only be used under strict medical supervision. Not intended for use as the sole source of nutrition. Not suitable for infants or sole source of formula for toddlers. Not for parenteral use. Not suitable for metabolic disorders other than phenylketonuria. This product must be supplemented with natural protein and other nutrients in medically prescribed quantities to supply the phenylalanine and general nutritional requirements of the patient.

Storage: Store unopened containers in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Do not store at extreme temperatures. Once opened, refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
