Description

Pico Fluid Management Pack complements the Pico Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System by providing multiple sterile fluid-management dressings that help draw out excess wound exudate through negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT). Designed for use with Pico 7 NPWT pumps, these packs allow clinicians to tailor therapy by managing fluid through a combination of absorption and evaporative mechanisms in low to moderate exuding wounds.

Features:

  • Tailored NPWT therapy: Includes multiple sterile dressings to support individual patient needs and wound profiles within a Pico NPWT regimen.
  • Efficient fluid control: Dressings work with the NPWT system to help remove excess wound fluid, supporting a moist healing environment and reducing lateral tension on wound edges.
  • Gentle adhesive design: Each dressing features a gentle adhesive interface that secures it in place while protecting peri-wound skin.
  • High moisture-vapour transmission: The fluid management dressings utilise materials that permit moisture evaporation while locking fluid away from the wound surface.
  • Minimizes waste: Optimized dressing construction helps reduce dressing waste and supports cost-effective therapy.
  • Flexible clinical use: Suited for acute wounds, chronic wounds, and closed surgical incisions as part of a Pico NPWT care plan.

How It Works:

Pico Fluid Management Packs consist of five individual NPWT dressings designed to work with the Pico pump and high-performance dressings: when negative pressure is applied, air is drawn out of the dressing and wound fluid begins to enter the dressing, helping to keep the wound bed clean and managed. The integrated elements combine absorption and controlled evaporation to maintain a balanced wound environment while the pump delivers continuous therapy.

Indications:

  • Acute wounds
  • Chronic wounds
  • Closed surgical incisions
  • Traumatic wounds needing fluid management
  • Low to moderate exudate wound types without heavy drainage
