Profore Wound Contact Layer is intended to offer physical separation between the wound and the surrounding environment. This non-adherent, extremely porous surface allows exudate to freely transfer to an absorptive dressing or bandage layer, reducing maceration and maintaining a moist wound environment. Creating and maintaining a moist wound environment is ideal for wound treatment. This dressing promotes healing and protects wounds. - Size: 5-1/2 x 8 Inch.
- Highly porous.
- Non-Adherent.
- Highly conformable.
- This prevents exudate pooling and thus peri-wound maceration.
- Non-adhesive and hence suitable for wounds surrounding by sensitive skin, such as venous leg ulcers.
- Open knit design allows exudate to move freely while also limiting the dressing's adhesion to the wound.
- The dressing's knitted structure makes it very conformable, offering comfort to the patient while also helping to keep the wound site moist.
Indications: It is intended to serve as a non-adherent barrier between the granulating wound surface and standard absorbent dressings. It is also compatible with Profore, Profore LF, and Profore Lite Multi-layer Compression Bandaging Systems.
