Optional Accessories & Features for the Quickie IRIS Tilt Manual Wheelchair

Intelligent rotation of 40° or 55° in space technology: The seat structure revolves around the user's centre of gravity thanks to intelligent rotation in space technology. This has the effect of

  • A gentle tilting action that you can easily control.
  • Allows for the shortest and most manoeuvrable wheelbase feasible.
  • Features 40° or 55° rotation ranges that can be adjusted to obtain 45° or 60° of posterior rotation for better alignment.

Mono™ Backrest System (Optional): The Mono backrest system features a single-post design.

  • Seating and placement options are endless.
  • The backrest has a 2" midline backrest offset capability.
  • Hardware interference is avoided, allowing lateral thoracic supports to be adjusted indefinitely.
  • The backrest and chair widths can be selected independently by fixing the backrest on a single central post.
  • The Mono backrest system has a dynamic function, a 35-degree angle adjustment, and folds forward for simple transportation.

Intuitive hanger designs: The new swing-in/swing-out hanger design has the following features:

  • As it is raised, audible clicks indicate its position.
  • An easy-to-use bi-directional release lever that moves with the hand.
  • The hanger is held in place by a tapered locking mechanism that keeps it from loosening over time.
  • The elevating/articulating leg rest can be adjusted by 2" in height to better align with the knee joint for a more natural action.

Caregiver options: The IRIS tilt wheelchair comes with a variety of features to make your job as a caregiver easier.

  • Choose the foot release tilt actuator for cable-free tilting.
  • A foot pedal is also used to engage the optional hands-free attendant wheel lock.
