TruCath® Hydrophilic Male Intermittent Catheter provides a clean, convenient, and hygienic solution for everyday self-catheterization. Designed with an integrated water pouch, it allows quick and easy activation of the hydrophilic coating—simply fold and squeeze to achieve a smooth, ultra-slippery surface without needing additional lubricant or water. The catheter’s male length design ensures effective drainage and user comfort, making it ideal for individuals requiring intermittent catheterization.
Each catheter is sterile and individually packaged for single use, supporting optimal hygiene and convenience. The included touch-free sleeve enhances control during handling while minimizing the risk of contamination. Indications For Use:
The TruCath® Intermittent Catheters are indicated for intermittent urinary catheterization by inserting through the urethra to pass urine from the bladder
Contraindications:
- Acute urethritis
- Acute prostatitis
- Acute epididymitis
- Patients with a PVC or Gel allergy
- Patients with calcareous urolithiasis
Usage Instructions:
Prior to Opening the Package:
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
- Break the Water Packet by applying pressure to the foil packet to release the water. Ensure all water is released from the foil packet.
- Wet the Catheter by holding the package with the printed side up and rock up and down in a seesaw motion for 15-20 seconds to ensure the hydrophilic coating is fully immersed on the catheters
Opening the Package:
- Peel Open the Package at the funnel end to expose approximately 4” of the catheter. Do not remove the catheter yet.
- For convenience, peel the blue sticker off near the finger hole and affix the catheter packaging to a hard surface such as a wall or bathroom fixture.
How to Use:
- Position yourself comfortably. If sitting on the toilet, spread your legs apart. If lying down, knees can be straight or bent.
- Clean urethral opening and glans of the penis by pulling back foreskin (if present) with soap and water or an unscented wipe.
- Remove the catheter from the package.
- Hold the penis upward with non-dominant hand and insert the catheter into the urethral opening with dominant hand. Gripping the catheter sleeve, advance the catheter until urine begins to flow. Hold in place until urine stops flowing. Ensure the funnel end is directed into a toilet or collection receptacle. When drainage is complete, slowly remove the catheter.
- Dispose of the catheter in a waste bin - do not flush it down the toilet. Wash your hands with soap and water.
Warnings:
- After removing the catheter from the packaging, do not wipe or scrub the surface of the catheter by either physical force or chemicals to avoid damaging the hydrophilic coating which may result in efficacy loss.
- This is a single use device. Do not re-sterilize any portion of this device. Reuse and/or repackaging may create a risk of patient or user infection, compromise the structural integrity and/or essential material and design characteristics of the device, which may lead to device failure, and/or lead to injury, illness or death of the patient.
Warranty
- The product warranty is applicable as per the terms and conditions provided by the product manufacturer.

- All returns must have an RGA number (Returned Goods Authorization), unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

- The products must be new, unused condition, not tampered with, in original packaging and returned at the customers expense in the original packaging.
- If your return is not due to any manufacturing defect then the original shipping cost will be deducted from the total refund.
