The metal remains in the wrist and thumb bend to fit as needed and can be removed if the situation improves. The orthosis inhibits undesired flexion or extension while allowing free movement of the fingers and thumb. Wearing the brace will help prevent further harm to the wrist as it heals. It comes in a variety of sizes for both the right and left hands, including X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large.
