Description

Simpurity Polymer Foam Wound Dressing is a thin, sterile, single-use dressing designed to effectively control moderately to strongly leaking wounds. The super-absorbent polymer core quickly absorbs and seals exudate, keeping excess fluid and hazardous components away from the wound bed and surrounding skin. This helps to reduce maceration while maintaining a clean, moist healing environment. The dressing consists of a soft polymer pad with a white mesh contact layer and a light blue, adhesive-free outer protective covering for increased comfort and protection.

Features:

  • Advanced Wound Care: Soft, extremely absorbent polymer pads provide comfort and simple, non-traumatic removal from the wound.
  • Superior Absorbency: The polymer core absorbs more than 10 times its own weight, effectively handling large amounts of exudate.
  • The Superabsorbent Core absorbs and holds wound fluid, odor, toxins, proteases, and MMPs, reducing maceration and promoting faster healing.
  • Compression Compatible: Can be used safely alongside compression therapy.
  • Moist Wound Healing: Promotes proper moisture balance by wicking excess drainage away from the wound.
  • Single-usage and Sterile: Individually sterile and designed for one-time usage to prevent infection risk.

Indications: Indicated for the management of moderate to heavily exuding wounds such as:

  • Surgical incisions.
  • Lacerations.
  • Abrasions.
  • Burns.
  • Pressure sores.
  • Venous ulcers.
  • First and second degree burns.
  • Post-operative wounds.
  • Donor or skin graft sites and other exudating wounds.

Contraindications:

  • Third-degree burns.
  • Dry wounds.
  • Surgical implantations.

Directions to use:

  1. Clean the wound with a sterile cleanser or saline solution and dry the surrounding skin.
  2. Select an appropriately sized dressing to fully cover the wound area.
  3. Apply the dressing with the white contact layer placed directly on the wound bed.
  4. Secure the dressing in place using medical tape or an appropriate fixation method.
