Simpurity Calcium Alginate Wound Dressing
Starts From
Description
Simpurity Calcium Alginate Wound Dressing are made from brown seaweed with soft calcium alginate fibers produced into pads or ropes. These dressings are extremely absorbent and adhere well to wound shapes. When applied in a wound, alginate interacts with exudate to generate a soft gel that keeps the site moist and promotes healing. The regulated release of calcium ions promotes hemostasis by increasing prothrombin activity. Dressings are designed with high wet tensile strength and may be easily removed or irrigated from the wound bed, making dressing changes easier for patients and healthcare workers alike. Dressings are offered in a variety of sizes to address a wide range of wound care requirements.
Features
- Highly absorbent to handle moderate to high exudate.
- When wound fluid comes into touch, it forms a soft gel.
