Simpurity Hydrocolloid Wound Dressing

Simpurity Hydrocolloid wound dressings are adhesive wound dressings that do not include gelatin and aid healing by producing a gel as wound exudates are absorbed. This gel stimulates granulation and epithelialization, preventing the dressing from adhering to the lesion. The dressing is radiation sterilized and has a high absorption capacity, allowing for longer periods between dressing changes. It is slightly transparent, which allows for simple wound inspection.

Indications: Are indicated for the management of light-to-moderately exuding wounds such as:.

• Second-degree burns.
• Leg ulcers.
• Pressure ulcers.
• Chronic slow healing wounds and abrasions.
• Used also for blister treatments.

Contraindications: Are not indicated for use on the following.

• Third-degree burns.
• On exposed muscle, bones and tendons.
• Infected wounds.

Direction to use:

1. Clean the wound with a sterile cleanser or saline solution and dry the surrounding skin.
2. Select the appropriate dressing size based on the wound area.
3. Remove the protective liners from the back of the dressing.
4. Apply the dressing directly to the wound bed.
