How to Use Medela Special Needs Feeder?
- It is advised that the initial feedings with the SpecialNeeds Feeder be conducted by the mother under the supervision of a trained professional or staff member.
- Check the temperature before feeding.
- Hold the valve plate with the raised rim positioned upwards. Then, place the white membrane onto the valve plate, ensuring it is positioned inside the rim. Push the knob of the membrane fully through the central hole of the valve plate.
- Proceed to fill the bottle with the desired amount of liquid.
How to Clean Special Needs Feeder?
- Disassemble the feeder into its individual parts.
- Ensure that you separate the yellow valve plate from the teat, as well as the white membrane from the valve plate.
- Rinse all parts with cold water (approx. 20 °C).
- Clean all parts with plenty of warm, soapy water (approx. 30 °C).
- Use a commercially available washing-up liquid, preferably without artificial fragrances and coloring (for hospital use: 5–15% anionic tenside, nonionic tenside, pH neutral). Rinse all parts with cold water (approx. 20 °C).
- Dry with a clean cloth or leave to dry on a clean cloth.
