Sunset Flex HME

Sunset FLEX HME delivers high moisture return for ventilated patients in tidal volumes from 250 mL?1500 mL. Engineered with low resistance, this HME supports adult/pediatric ventilation without adding significant work to the breathing circuit.

Features:

• High Moisture Return: Delivers around 30 mg H₂O/L in typical adult tidal volumes.
• Low Flow Resistance: Features approximately 0.5 cm H₂O resistance at 30 L/min, supporting minimal additional work to breathing.
• Broad Tidal-Volume Compatibility: Suitable for tidal volumes from 250 mL up to 1,500 mL, making it adaptable for adult and pediatric use.
• Dual Standard Connections: Offers both 22 mm female and 15 mm female ports to integrate with various ventilator circuits.
• Dead Space Specification Provided: Dead space is documented at about 90 mL-important for ventilation planning.
• Single-Use Disposable Design: Intended for one-patient use, simplifying hygiene and replacement protocols.

Contraindication:

• HME is contraindicated in patients producing fulminating, frothy secretions within their airway and lungs.
• HME should not be used in conjunction with nebulizers or heated humidifiers

Directions for use:

• Change the HME every 24 hours, or sooner if necessary.
• Not for use with nebulizers or vaporizing humidifiers.

Connection of HME to breathing Circuit:
HME should be placed between the proximal end of the artificial airway and the Y-piece of the breathing circuit

• If your return is not due to any manufacturing defect then the original shipping cost will be deducted from the total refund.
