Contraindications:

• Use of Endotracheal-Length Catheters with Tracheostomy Tubes: Using an endotracheal-length catheter (540mm) with a tracheostomy tube (305mm) may cause mucosal tissue injury due to the extra length.
• Use of Tracheostomy-Length Catheters with Endotracheal Tubes: Using a tracheostomy-length catheter with an endotracheal tube may result in insufficient suctioning due to the shorter length.
• Reusing or Resterilizing the Device: The device is intended for single patient use only. Reuse or resterilization may lead to malfunction or create a risk of cross-infection.
• Cutting the Endotracheal Tube While the Closed Suction System is Attached: Cutting the endotracheal tube while the closed suction system is attached may cause the suction catheter to be cut, and the cut portion may be aspirated into the lower respiratory tract.
