SureStep Post Insertion Foley Care Wipes

BD SureStep™ Post Insertion Foley Care Wipes are designed to support routine post-insertion hygiene for Foley catheterized patients. Intended for daily or PRN use after catheter placement, these pre-moistened wipes help clinicians maintain consistent hygiene practices as part of ongoing Foley catheter care. The product is designed to complement the BD SureStep™ Foley Tray System and support a standardized approach to post-insertion care.

Each package contains a 7.9 in x 7.9 in pre-moistened wipe and an orange compliance sticker to assist with documentation. Step-by-step, picture-based instructions printed on the package help guide proper use and promote consistency in care. The included compliance sticker can be placed on the Foley calendar located on the urine meter or drainage bag to document that post-insertion cleaning has been completed.

Instructions For Use:

Male:

• Step 1: Gently wipe around the Foley catheter at the urethral opening on the glans penis.
• Step 2: Clean the glans penis, wiping around the catheter insertion site.
• Step 3: Wipe down the shaft of the penis, moving away from the insertion site.
• Step 4: Clean the groin area on both sides, wiping downward and outward.

Female:

• Step 1: Gently wipe around the Foley catheter at the urethral opening, wiping outward.
• Step 2: Separate the labia and wipe downward along the catheter and surrounding tissue.
• Step 3: Continue wiping downward along the labia, moving away from the urethral opening.
• Step 4: Clean the groin area on both sides, wiping downward and outward.

Additional Information:

• Always wipe away from the catheter insertion site.
• Use one wipe per step or area.
• Discard the wipe after use.
