TheraTogs ULTRA Full Body System is a comprehensive solution for children and adults with complex neuromotor disorders. This Theratogs Posture Corrector is designed to allow for the carryover and mass practice of therapeutic exercises used to improve hip stability, core stability, postural alignment, and functional lower limb alignment during therapy.
TheraTogs Full Body System is flexible and effective for a wide range of indications, including functional alignment and mobility issues caused by cerebral palsy and other CNS dysfunctions in young, ambulatory children, as well as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis, and other adult-onset CNS dysfunctions in adults, as well as related issues in the extremities near the wrists and ankles.
The core elements of this system are a TankTop and a Hipster, which when combined give a firm foundation for trunk stability and postural alignment. Theratogs Full Body System wraps the torso and extremities in a 'strapping field' to promote postural alignment and stability. The limb cuffs and strapping that are included can be used to accomplish shoulder stability or subluxation, hip stability, internal/external leg rotation, and/or knee extension.

Q. What conditions can TheraTogs help with?
A. TheraTogs are designed to support individuals with a variety of
neuromotor, postural, and sensory challenges. Some of the common conditions
TheraTogs can help address include:
Q. Why is the TheraTogs system considered a Class I medical device?
A. TheraTogs are classified as a Class I Medical Device by the FDA because
they pose a minimal risk to the user. This classification is for products that
are generally safe for use and don't require extensive regulatory controls.
Since TheraTogs are worn externally and are non-invasive, they are considered
low-risk and are intended to be used under the supervision of a licensed
healthcare professional to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Q. How does the PTA System improve posture?
A. TheraTogs PTA works by using elasticized, body-worn garments and strapping to
provide gentle, continuous compression and corrective forces. This feedback
helps the wearer build muscle memory for better postural control over time — all
while they go about daily activities.
Q. How should I care for and clean the PTA System?
A. The TheraTogs PTA System is machine-washable. For best results, wash the
garments in cold water on a gentle cycle and air dry them. Do not use heat to
dry the garments, as this can damage the material. The elastic strapping should
be hand-washed to maintain its elasticity.
Q. Can Thera Togs be worn all day, or is there a time limit for wearing?
A. There is no generic or standard wearing schedule; it depends on what the clinician and the caregivers determine is the best for the patient, and what's most realistic for the patient's circumstances. For most wearers, it's best to start slow, wearing only the garments for a week or so, and then adding strapping if/as needed. (In many cases, TheraTogs cause the patient to use muscles that have been underused, so fatigue is to be expected.)
Q. Can I wear the TheraTogs Ultra Full Body System under regular clothing?
A. Yes, the system is designed to be worn discreetly under regular clothing.
The material is lightweight, breathable, and comfortable for extended wear,
allowing users to go about their daily routines while receiving therapeutic
benefits.
