precise measurements of glucose levels in fresh, human capillary whole
blood, obtained from various sources such as the fingertip, forearm, or
venous blood.
Features
- Incorporating Triple
Sense Technology, these test strips automatically detect, analyze, and
correct variables in each blood sample, guaranteeing accurate and
consistent results for confident patient management.
- Compatible exclusively with Truemetrix Blood Glucose Meter for seamless integration
- Advanced technology for accurate and rapid blood glucose readings
- Convenient 50-strip pack to meet your regular monitoring needs
- Designed for easy handling and usage
- To maintain accuracy and safety, it's imperative never to reuse test
strips. Additionally, avoid wiping or cleaning the strips with water,
alcohol, or any other cleaner, as this may compromise their integrity
and performance.
Usage Instructions:
- Prepare the Meter: Allow the meter and test strips to
acclimate to room temperature for 10 minutes before use. If opening a
new vial, remember to record the date on the label for reference.
- Prepare the Sampling Area: Thoroughly wash and dry the area
to be lanced before proceeding with the test.
- Remove a Test Strip: Carefully remove a single test strip
from the vial, ensuring to recap the vial promptly to maintain strip
integrity.
- Insert the Test Strip: Insert the contact end of the test
strip into the test port of the meter. The meter will power on
automatically.
- Obtain a Blood Sample: Obtain a blood drop from the prepared
sampling area.
- Apply Blood to the Test Strip: With the test strip inserted
into the meter, touch the sample tip to the top of the blood drop,
allowing the blood to be drawn into the strip. Remove the sample tip
from the drop immediately after the meter emits a beep and dashes appear
on the display.
- View the Results: The meter will display the glucose level
result. Record the result as required by your facility's protocols.
- Dispose of the Test Strip: Hold the meter with the test strip
pointing downward and press the strip release button to discard the used
test strip into an approved biohazard container.
Care Instructions:
- Keep the test strips in their original vial with the cap tightly
sealed to prevent exposure to air and moisture.
- Use test strips promptly after removing them from the vial and
discard any unused strips according to the expiration date or within
four months of opening the vial, whichever comes first.
- Store the test strip vial in a dry place at temperatures between
40F-86F, avoiding extremes of heat, cold, direct sunlight, or high
humidity.
- Discard any test strips or vials that appear damaged and do not
attempt to alter or reuse them in any way.
