Description

Viscopaste PB7 Zinc Paste Bandage is a sterile zinc-impregnated paste bandage designed to support the management of chronic skin conditions and venous leg ulcers by promoting a moist healing environment and soothing irritated skin. This open-weave bandage is easy to apply and remove and stays pliable in use, helping reduce trauma during dressing changes.

Features:

  • Dimensions: 3 Inch x 10 Yard
  • Zinc-Impregnated Paste: Contains a paste with 10% zinc oxide that helps soothe irritated skin and maintain a moist healing environment, supporting wound care and dermatological application.
  • Open Weave Bandage: The lightweight, open-woven structure makes it easy to apply and remove, and it will not dry out during use.
  • Sterile and Ready-to-Use: Each bandage is individually wrapped for hygiene, easy identification, and convenient storage.
  • Comfortable & Soothing: The zinc paste composition provides a calming effect to irritated or inflamed skin.
  • Pliable and Flexible: Conforms to curved body areas including legs and arms to support secure application.

Indications:

  • It is also suitable for use in the management of chronic eczema/dermatitis, where occlusion is indicated.
  • For the management of venous leg ulcers as an adjunct to graduated compression bandaging when venous insufficiency exists.

Directions to use: There are two ways that the bandage can be applied:

  • Method 1: Starting at the base of the toes, gently wrap the bandage around the foot, heel, and leg in a spiral form till just below the knee. After applying the bandage, smooth it out and shape it to fit the leg.
  • Method 2: Starting at the base of the toes, loosely wrap the bandage over the foot and heel, then place a pleat at the front of the leg as you wrap from the ankle. This should be repeated up the leg until it reaches just below the knee. Compression bandaging may follow. To avoid soiling garments and bedcovers, cover the leg with a bandage or dressing after applying the bandage.
