Preparations:

Instructions for Use: Proper handling of enteral nutrition is vital to minimize microbial contamination. Always use clean technique and follow setup instructions for safe and effective feeding.

NOTE: Failure to follow the guidelines may increase contamination risk and reduce hang time.

• Administer product at room temperature.
• Wash hands thoroughly before handling the container or feeding set.
• Shake vigorously for at least 10 seconds before use.
• Avoid contact between the feeding set and any surfaces to maintain sterility.
• Follow physician’s directions for flow rate and feeding volume based on patient tolerance.
• Provide additional fluids as prescribed between or after feedings.

For Use with Enteral Feeding Pumps:

• Remove dust cover from RTH Safety Screw Cap and feeding set connector.
• Insert feeding set connector into port, pierce foil completely, and secure tightly.
• Close clamp before inverting the container.
• Invert and suspend using the built-in hanging ring.

Precautions:

• Not for intravenous (IV) administration.
• Not suitable for individuals with galactosemia.
• Follow feeding set manufacturer’s recommendations carefully.
• Hang product for up to 48 hours with clean technique and a new set, or up to 24 hours otherwise.
