Xtrasorb Super Absorbent Adhesive Foam Dressings with Adhesive Border use polymer technology to give enhanced absorption with an osmotic pull to draw fluid to the back of the dressing. The polymer technology in the dressing binds toxic fluid components (such as MMPs) and turns it to a gel. Each absorbs and retains more moisture than the market's leading competitor dressings, extending the duration between dressing changes while lowering the risk of maceration and exposure to hazardous components in wound fluid. The dressings are intended to improve patient care and clinical efficiency.
Features:
- Sterile, using Super-Absorbent Polymer Technology
- Absorption is two to four times greater than with standard foam dressings
- Keeps wound fluid from entering the wound and surrounding skin
- SAP layer adds cushioning and pressure redistribution
- High-tensile, strength gelling, super-absorbent polymer technology is used
- A standard, extremely absorbent, hydrophilic polyurethane foam is fused to the back of the foam, together with a patented, super-absorbent polymer sheet
