3M Cavilon Advanced Skin Protectant allows you to manage damaged skin or protect at-risk skin. The 3m Cavilon advanced skin protectant forms a transparent shield over your skin, creating a barrier against moisture, friction, and irritants. It's your ally against chafing, rashes, and redness, allowing you to carry on with your day without a second thought about skin discomfort. The 3m Skin Protectant is a polymeric-cyanoacrylate solution intended for the protection of intact or damaged skin. Upon application to the skin, the liquid dries rapidly to form a primary long-lasting waterproof, highly durable film barrier. It is elastomeric, adhering to the contours of the skin and providing a uniform film. This cavilon advanced helps in reducing IAD (Incontinence-Associated Dermatitis) under urinary and fecal incontinence. The film adheres to dry, moist, or wet skin surfaces and remains intact during conditions of continuous or repeated exposure to moisture or caustic irritants. It will wear off the skin and does not require removal. Due to its ability to attach /adhere to wet, weeping (denuded), and/or dry skin and its exceptional barrier properties, the product does a superior job of protecting skin from irritants.

Suggested Applications

• Ideal for managing damaged or broken skin and protecting at-risk or compromised skin from MASD (including Incontinence Associated Dermatitis, Peristomal Skin Damage, Periwound Skin Damage and Intertriginous Dermatitis (ITD)) and irritants (such as liquid stool, mixed feces/urine, gastric fluid and chronic wound exudate moisture, friction and/or shear, a leading factor in pressure ulcer/injury development)
• Manage superficial pressure injury in difficult-to-dress locations
• Manage existing superficial skin damage (e.g. stripping, skin tears) from adhesive use
