The Aircast AirSelect Elite Walker Boot offers advanced pneumatic features
for superior protection and comfort while effectively controlling edema. The
Elite Walker boots promotes healing in fractures and manage edema, this boot
features overlapping posterior and distal Duplex aircells, reducing edema up
to three times faster. The pre-inflated front panel combined with the custom
inflation system provides a tailored, full-contact fit without the need for
a handbulb. Its intuitive inflation system allows for quick and easy
customization of each aircell, ensuring optimal support. Designed with an
enclosed toe cover and non-marking, skid-resistant rubber tread, it offers
protection from hazards and improved traction. SoftStrike technology absorbs
and dissipates energy during heel strike, reducing heel pain, while the
low-profile rocker sole enables a natural walking gait and reduces forefoot
angulations and knee hyperextension. The semi-rigid shell is trimmable and
heat-moldable for a personalized fit, and the sleek, open-frame design
offers ventilated protection and supports compliance. Additionally, the boot
contours around the malleoli to eliminate pressure for sustained comfort,
and the three-strap system evenly disperses pressure, eliminating pooling of
edema.

Usage Instructions:
1) Prepare Brace:
- Unfasten straps, remove front panel, and open toe cover and foot
flaps.
2) Apply Brace:
- Put on the sock included with the brace.
- While seated, position your foot in the brace with the heel against
the back of the brace.
- Wrap foot flaps over the foot and the toe cover around the toes.
- Replace the front panel, ensuring the Aircast logo is over the toes
and the upper part of the panel is secured outside the brace.
- Secure straps from bottom to top until snug and comfortable.
3) Adjust Aircell Compression:
- The Elite walking brace aircells are initially deflated.
- Begin inflation on the injured side first. Turn the SELECTOR to the
appropriate number: 1 for the right-side aircell, 2 for the left-side
aircell, and 3 for the back aircell. Use the "lock" position once all
aircells are inflated to prevent accidental deflation.
- To inflate an aircell, place your finger on top of the large
inflation pump and pump until the aircell feels snug.
- Rotate the SELECTOR to the appropriate number to inflate other
aircells, then press and release the large inflation pump until the
aircell feels snug. Rotate the SELECTOR to the "lock" position when all
aircells are inflated.
4) Deflate Aircells:
- Turn the SELECTOR to the proper aircell number to deflate.
- Press and hold your finger on the small release button found on the
top right side of the brace.
- Deflate until the pressure is comfortable.
Notes:
- Deflate aircells before removing the brace for proper fit when
reapplying.
- Higher pressure provides more support when walking, while lower
pressure is more comfortable when sitting or reclining. Pressure can
also be adjusted by tightening or loosening straps.
- The shell can be trimmed with a cast saw or cast scissors to
accommodate larger calves.
