Cardinal Health Kendall Silicone Bordered 5-Layer Foam dressings are sterile, foam dressings made with highly breathable film, super absorbent polyacrylate, transfer layer, highly absorbent foam, and a gentle silicone adhesive. The new generation foam dressings deliver an innovative design with improved adhesion and absorbency in a thinner, more flexible dressing. These dressings protect and absorb exudate from the wound, helping to facility a moist wound healing environment.

Features

• Not made with natural rubber latex.
• Gentle silicone adhesive helps allow for atraumatic removal.
• Multi-layered bordered foam dressings consist of a highly absorbent foam pad.
• Used to absorb and retain exudate away from the wound and facilitate a moist environment.
• Additional layer containing super absorbent polyacrylate fibers, protective film backing, gentle silicone adhesive and a secure border.

Indications:

May be used for the management of moderate to heavy exuding, partial to full thickness wounds, including:

• Pressure ulcers
• Graft and donor sites
• Lacerations and abrasions
• Post-operative surgical wounds
• Diabetic, venous and arterial ulcers
• Traumatic wounds (eg. skin tears, road rash and minor injuries)

Contraindications:

• Third-degree burns and lesions with active vasculitis.
