Wheelchair Footplates are usually removable and swing away to the side to make transfers easier and their angle can be adjusted through a large range of angles from almost touching the floor at the toe to almost vertical with the heel almost at the floor as the user requires. They can be adjusted to accommodate users who don't have the ankle flexibility to rest comfortably on standard foot plates.
