How to Use Coag-Sense Test Strips:
1. Lancing the Finger:
- Wait until the meter display reads "Apply Sample" before lancing.
- Use a 21 gauge lancet (avoid using diabetes lancets).
- Gently squeeze the finger to produce a bead of blood. Transfer the sample within 15 seconds.
2. Collecting the Sample:
- Hold the tube horizontally and approach the bead of blood.
- Touch the tip to the bead of blood and let capillary action fill the tube until blood flow stops at the white plug.
- Squeeze the finger if needed to generate more blood to completely fill to the white plug.
3. Transferring the Sample:
- Ensure the meter display reads "Apply Sample" before applying the sample.
- Insert the transfer tube tip into the sample application well of the test strip, touching the tip down at the flashing green light in front of the wheel.
- Fully depress the black plunger to dispense the blood.
