ConvaMax Superabsorber Wound Dressing is the ideal choice when needing maximum exudate management in a dressing. Chronic wounds and ulcers producing heavy exudate require absorbent dressings to control infection and reduce the risk of further damage to the wound bed and surrounding peri-wound skin. ConvaMax meets this challenge due to its superabsorbent (SAP) core that's designed to soak up the exudate and effectively trap it. Many wound dressings may absorb large amounts of exudate, but do not effectively retain the fluid when it reaches full capacity. This may cause the dressing to break open thus releasing bacteria back into the wound. Exudate retention is particularly important when it's used under a compression bandage or with other compression therapy.ConvaMax Wound Dressing with Suberabsorbent SAP Core is available in a variety of sizes with or without an adhesive to provide flexibility when needing a primary or secondary dressing. The dressing without adhesive can be secured with tape, bandage, or a tubular stockinette. The dressing is also packaged sterile for convenience, fast application.
