Are your formulas vegan?

Liquid Hope formulas utilize Vitamin D3 in the form of cholecalciferol. D3 naturally synthesizes in your skin during exposure to sunlight and it’s also a commercially prepared supplement made from the lanolin retrieved from washing sheeps’ wool; therefore, it may not be considered vegan for some individuals based on their practices. Other than that, the D3 formulas are vegan.

Can the product be exposed to high heat and freezing temperatures?

Under the guidelines of research laboratories, if Liquid Hope Peptide and Nourish Peptide are stored and handled properly at ambient temperatures of 60º to 70º degrees Fahrenheit, the maximum shelf life is two years.

Is it OK for Liquid Hope Peptide and Nourish Peptide formulas to sit outside in the heat for short periods of time?

Yes. Exposure to higher heats (75–100º+) for short periods of time will not negatively affect the nutritional values. The only time the nutritional values will begin to be affected is if the products are stored at high heat for extended periods of time (6–12+ months). If exposed to high heat for an extended period, the nutrient value may be decreased over time.​

My Liquid Hope / Nourish Peptide was delivered and sat outside in freezing temperatures and is frozen. Is it OK to use?

Yes. Freezing can be a very good way to preserve the nutritional value, texture, and flavor of many foods. As long as the food was grown in a high-quality way (for example, organically grown) the overall nutrient retention in a frozen food will remain high. In other words, the vitamins and minerals will keep well when food is frozen.

If you do find that your Liquid Hope Peptide or Nourish Peptide has been frozen, just store it at ambient room temperature, and it will thaw naturally. If you need a pouch right away, please thaw the unopened pouch gently. If you find that your product has frozen, the product may separate a bit. The product is still perfectly good to use, just shake thoroughly or reblend in a blender to re-emulsify.

Is this safe?

Liquid Hope Peptide and Nourish Peptide are produced in a FDA/USDA-registered facility with a USDA inspector on site. Liquid Hope formulas undergo thorough testing before they are released from the manufacturer. Both Liquid Hope Peptide and Nourish Peptide formulas are shelf-stable, require no refrigeration, and have a two-year shelf life.

What is the hang time?

All of the peptide formulas are approved for a 12-hour hang time.

Who needs more protein than the amounts typically provided in standard formulas?

What are the potential signs of inadequate protein consumption or health effects of under-consuming protein?

Please consult with your medical team on your individual protein needs. Some signs of protein deficiency include an overall loss of lean body mass (this is a reduction in a patient’s fat-free mass vs a loss of weight that may involve significant fat loss), hair loss, slower wound healing, and a reduction in strength and/or physical capacity for exercise.

Why include organic parsley?

Organic parsley contains naturally occurring silica, which helps support strong bones and muscle mass.

Why are there green flakes in the formula?

There may be small visible parsley flakes in the formula, as whole parsley leaves often survive the blending process. These flakes should not affect pump compatibility and are a reminder of the whole ingredients that make peptide formulas unique.

Other than parsley, are there any other ingredient differences between Liquid Hope Peptide and Liquid Hope Peptide High Protein?

Most of the ingredients between the two products are the same, including the same core vegetables. the biggest change is the quantity of protein provided in the Liquid Hope High Protein and organic acacia fiber is not in Liquid Hope High Protein either. This does result in slightly less fiber in the product at 9 grams per pouch versus 11 grams in Liquid Hope Peptide.

What role does organic pumpkin seed protein play in Liquid Hope Peptide and Liquid Hope Peptide High Protein?

Organic pumpkin seed protein has been included in the formula to nicely complement the organic hydrolyzed pea protein. Organic pumpkin seed protein is a good source of the amino acids methionine and arginine.

What % of calories is provided by MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides)?

10% of calories are provided by medium-chain triglycerides from organic coconut MCT oil.

Would Liquid Hope Peptide High Protein be appropriate for someone with diabetes?

The macronutrient distribution in Liquid Hope Peptide High Protein is 24% protein, 25% carbohydrate and 51% fat which is lower in carbohydrate than most commercially available products. The combination of being lower in carbohydrates but also high in fiber, protein and fat may have a positive impact on glucose stability and control; however, Liquid Hope would recommend consulting with your medical team about the use for specific medical conditions.

Who can benefit from peptide formulas?

Liquid Hope peptide formulas contain organic hydrolyzed pea protein and organic MCT oil. The protein and fat in original formulas can be thought of as long pearl necklaces that need to be broken down by the body into individual pearls in order to be absorbed and utilized easily. Liquid Hope peptide formulas contain short chains of pearls rather than longer chains so that the body does not have to work as hard to absorb and utilize the nutrients.

These formulas are most appropriate for those that may have issues that result in malabsorption problems or difficulty utilizing a standard formula. It is a specialized formula and is usually approved only for certain conditions if insurance coverage is needed.
