Instructions for Use - Security comes in four easy steps:
Crack: Place an individual vial blister pack on a hard surface with the label facing down. Gently apply pressure to the vial through the blister pack to crush the inner ampule to release Mastisol.
Peel: Peel back the lid of the blister pack and remove the vial using an aseptic technique.
Apply: Turn the vial upside-down to dispense Mastisol onto the skin in a half-inch wide line. Apply Mastisol to the outside border of where the dressing will be placed, avoiding the area immediately surrounding the catheter insertion site. Allow Mastisol to dry completely, for approximately 20–30 seconds.
Dress: Per facility protocol, apply the dressing to the skin, ensuring edges are in contact with Mastisol.
