Why Hydrogel Pads

Instructions for use: The Hydrogel Pads are intended for use by breastfeeding mothers with sore/cracked/painful nipples.
- Wash hands before using the product.
- Visually inspect sterile packaging of the device for damage before opening. Devices with a damaged packaging system must not be used.
- Open sterile pouch and remove gel pad from the plastic liner.
- Avoid touching the gel side with your finger.
- To improve soothing, briefly pass the gel side of the pad under a cool stream of water (1–2 seconds), shake off excess water and set aside for 2 minutes. Do not rinse more than twice a day. Gently place the gel side of the pad directly over your nipple.
- Prior to breastfeeding, remove the gel pad and place it on a clean surface with the gel side facing up. Gently wash the breast with warm water and pat dry. Then, start breastfeeding.
- After breastfeeding, reapply the gel pad.
- For more cooling sensation, unopened gel pads can be placed in the fridge shortly before use.
- Do not use soaps or detergents to clean pad.
- Store gel pads in a cool, dry place.
- The pad can be used up to 24 hours.
- If gel pad becomes dirty or milky, please discard and use a new one.
- Dispose as per local regulation.
Important Safeguards
- Use only as indicated.
- Keep out of reach of children, especially the plastic liner.
- Extra care should be taken if using with cracked nipples or potential infection.
- If nipples are bleeding or have a burning sensation, contact your healthcare professional.
- To prevent nipple pain it is important that baby feeds at mother‘s breast in a correct position.
- Use of the device beyond the recommended time period may cause contamination.
- Reprocessing or cleaning could cause loss of device function.
- Do not use in case of known allergies to any of the ingredients. The product may contain traces of known allergens Acrylamide and Acyrloni- trile. If you have a known allergy to these substances it is recommended
not to use the Hydrogel Pads.
Contraindications: The Hydrogel Soothing Pad is not indicated for full-thickness wounds, heavily bleeding wounds, full thickness burns or as a covering for deep wounds.
