Collagen Particle Medfil II Dressing is a primary Wound Dressing manufactured by Human Biosciences. The Collagen Particle Medfil II Dressing consist of Type I bovine collagen in the proper triple helical molecular form. This Collagen Dressing design is specific to wound healing. The enhanced surface area/density of collagen fibrils allows more collagen to come in contact with wound surface. Collagen Particle Medfil II Dressing removes exudate while reducing inflammation and edema. Collagen Particle Medfil II Dressing allows gas exchange.

Medifil II Collagen Particles mimicks the body's own collagen and then these Type I fibrillar bovine collagen particles help to create a biological response, attracting the cellular components necessary to stimulate the healing process. The particles stop bleeding as they bind to specific receptor sites, aid in wound cleansing and the establishment of new tissue and blood vessels and create a structural matrix for healing.
