How to Use:
Collect Supplies
Gather a pouch, skin barrier, disposal bag, tissue or cloth for cleaning, and water.
Optional: scissors, pen, measuring guide, and accessories.
Remove Used Pouching System
Carefully lift an edge of the adhesive and peel downward, gently pushing the skin away from the skin barrier.
Dispose of the used pouch and skin barrier properly (do not flush down the toilet).
Clean and Dry Skin
Clean the skin around the stoma with water or gentle soap as recommended by your healthcare professional.
Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
Avoid using oils, powders, lotions, or lotion-type soaps on the skin.
Prepare the Skin Barrier and Pouch
Measure the stoma using a stoma measuring guide before every barrier application (skip if using a pre-sized barrier).
Trace the determined barrier size onto the skin barrier, ensuring it fits where the skin and stoma meet without exposing skin to prevent leakage and irritation.
Using small curved scissors, carefully cut an opening in the skin barrier to match the traced pattern, not cutting beyond the line on the release liner.
If using a barrier ring or paste, apply it to the sticky side of the skin barrier next to the stoma opening as directed.
Close the bottom of the pouch with Lock 'n Roll microseal closure.
Apply the New Pouching System
Remove the release liner from the skin barrier.
Center the skin barrier opening over the stoma in a diamond shape.
Apply gentle pressure to the skin barrier for about a minute for best adhesion.
For tape-bordered barriers, remove the backing paper on both sides and press the adhesive against the skin.
Attach the pouch to the skin barrier by aligning and engaging the lower edges of the pouch flange and skin barrier flange. Press them together until you hear a series of “clicks,” indicating the pouch is secure.
If desired, apply the cap provided in the box.
