Vitale Silicone Super-Absorbent Dressings have 3 layers:

1. The waterproof yet vapor-permeable outer film is gentle and conformable for fragile skin.
2. An absorbent pad with two components: a polyurethane foam and a layer of super-absorbent fibers, which is effective in regulating wound exudates for an ideal moist wound environment.
3. A soft silicone wound contact layer that is conformable for intimate skin contact. The silicone layer provides flexible adhesion and passes exudates through to the absorbent layer, controlling excess moisture.

Vitale Silicone Super Absorbent Dressings are sterilized by ethylene oxide and must not be resterilized. The silicone adhesive covers the entire wound or covers the primary dressing surface & allows the center of the dressing to gently adhere to the wound or the primary dressing. The border attaches firmly yet gently to the peri-wound tissue, helping prevent breakdown of surrounding tissue. The silicone is elastic & flexible so that the dressing may be gently peeled back for inspection.

How To Apply

1. Clean and rinse the wound per the usual protocol. Wound Cleanser Spray helps condition & prepare the wound bed for healing.
2. Using sterile technique, take the dressing out of the package & remove the center release film, exposing the soft silicone layer.
3. Place the dressing on the moist wound, centering & positioning the pad on the wound. The soft silicone contact layer is so flexible that it may be adhered directly to the wound bed.
4. When used as a secondary dressing, apply a primary dressing or wound filler to the wound bed per that product's Instructions for Use. Then apply the Vitale Silicone Dressings by removing the center release film & applying to the center of the wound.
5. Remove the border release film & adhere to peri-wound tissue. Do not stretch the dressing while applying.
6. If the absorbent pad becomes saturated, exudates will leak out the side of the absorbent pad and may be observed in the border. When this occurs, the dressing should be changed.
7. Change dressing as directed, when the absorbent pad is saturated, or at least every 7 days.

Indications:

Vitale Silicone Super-Absorbent Dressings are for single use only and may be used as:

1. A primary dressing in direct contact with the wound bed.
2. A secondary (cover) dressing over an appropriate wound filler or other primary dressing.

Can be used for the treatment of the following wounds:

• Pressure Sores
• Arterial Ulcers
• Venous Ulcers
• Skin donor site
• Diabetic Ulcers
• Second-Degree Burns

Wounds being treated may have moderate to heavy exudate, and they may be superficial or deep.

• The product warranty is applicable as per the terms and conditions provided by the product manufacturer.
