Indications for Use: The NEOMED Enteral Only Extension Set is indicated for use in neonatal and pediatric patients in conjunction with nasogastric or orogastric enteral feeding tubes to deliver nutrition via nasal or oral gastric placement.

Contraindications: This device is not intended for intravenous (I.V.) use.

Instructions

• Always follow the physician’s instructions for use of the contents.
• Wash your hands thoroughly and use aseptic technique throughout the process.
• Remove the extension set from the packaging.
• Verify feeding tube compatibility before use.
• Attach the Enteral Only Connector (inlet) to the outlet of the administration set. Attach the extension set outlet to the enteral only feeding tube.
• Close the slide clamp and plug all female hubs until ready to use or when not in use.
• Replace and maintain the administration set in accordance with hospital protocol and not to exceed NANN (National Association of Neonatal Nurses) or AND (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) guidelines of beyond 4 hours, as applicable.
• Do not re-use extension sets. After use, dispose of the device per hospital protocols and/or local or national regulations.

Device Lifetime: Extension sets are validated for use up to 24 hours.

Cautions

• Do not wash and reuse the extension set. It is intended for one-time use only. Re-use of this device may increase the risk of leakage or biological infection.
• When using bifurcated extension sets, always close the slide clamp and plug the female hub of the bifurcated tubing when not in use.

• The product warranty is applicable as per the terms and conditions provided by the product manufacturer.

• The products must be new, unused condition, not tampered with, in original packaging and returned at the customers expense in the original packaging.
• If your return is not due to any manufacturing defect then the original shipping cost will be deducted from the total refund.
• Hygiene, bath and toilet items cannot be returned once opened or used.
